OWWA Uwian na is an Android application that is developed by Overseas Workers Welfare Administration to be used by Overseas Filipino Workers. It is intended to accelerate the time it takes for OFWs to return home.
What it offers
This application is a registration system managed by OWWA aimed to quicken procedures for OFWs to go back to their home region. It is important to complete the quarantine period as well as test negative for COVID-19 beforehand. If you are not sure whether or not you have COVID-19 and you are also not able to visit a doctor, try downloading ResAppDx. It will help you with initial diagnosis.
The platform provides faster, more hand-on agency services for those who registered for repatriation. This includes a quicker schedule for charter flights, grouping together with other OFWs based on destination and an option to stay in OWWA approved quarantine facilities.
Registration
In order to register you need to have a negative RT-PCR test result and a passport. You may sign up on the e-CIF first to get your results. Upon registration you will receive an acknowledgment email and guidelines for proceeding with your travel.
You can apply for repatriation via the website as well. Please note that you have to sign up at least 5 days prior to your return.
