Rise Wifi is an Android application developed in collaboration with South African provider Rise Telecoms. The utility is intended for residents of the city of Durban. It allows them to choose Internet packages and pay for them.
How to use
The application can be used only by registered customers of Rise Telecoms provider. They need to live in houses equipped with Rise Wi-Fi. In order to enter the utility, clients have to enter their ID.
Internet packages
The main page displays users’ profile information. Here they can view the status of the current service package.
There is information about already used and remaining megabytes. It is possible to buy vouchers for access to Rise Wi-fi Internet packages. You can view a separate page where their list is presented. Packs of megabytes for a day or a month are presented here. Their cost depends on the amount of offered traffic.
Users can not only buy vouchers but also renew current ones.
Remark
During testing, it turned out that the application does not perform the declared functions. Since it has not received updates for a long time, we can conclude that the developers have stopped supporting it.
