Safe2SpeakUP is an application for Android that is intended to stop violence and bullying in US schools. The official utility is created as a companion of the CrisisGo program and the corresponding web resource. It allows students to anonymously report instances of bullying, aggression, violence, and other incidents.
Authorization
At the start, you need to register. The authorization includes the name of the school and some personal information. It is worth noting that this application does not transfer personal information to third parties and does not store it on servers.
Communication
The utility allows students to create thematic groups and communicate in them. They can be dedicated to various clubs, sports sections, and other school activities. It allows you to track the schedule and know about changes, cancellations of classes, and so on.
Reports and tips
Furthermore, students may send information about school violence and bullying to the CrisisGo web resource. There is a separate tab for this. It allows them to describe the situation in detail, and clarify the location where the incident occurred using geolocation. They can also name the participants in the events.
It is worth noting that students may remain anonymous or provide their names. They can add photos and videos to the report.
Information about violence and bullying will be sent to the CrisisGo center and then to the school security team. It helps to eliminate such situations.
In addition, the application has useful tips regarding safety at school, on the way, on the road, and so on. There are text materials, cards with pictures, and videos.
