Samsung Smart Switch is an Android application designed primarily for cell phones from the Galaxy lineup. With it, users can transfer various data from one smartphone to another.
Compatible devices
First of all, the presented utility is designed to send data from an old Samsung Galaxy model to a new one. The function is available to users who own smartphones with the Android 4.0 operating system or above.
If users need to transfer data wirelessly to phones released by other manufacturers, then Android 6.0 or higher is required. Additionally, devices can be connected using a USB cable.
To send files to iOS smartphones, a USB OTG wire or an iCloud connection will be required.
Moreover, users can sync handheld devices from the Galaxy line with BlackBerry and Windows Phone.
What can I transfer?
Users have the option to send calendar data, contacts, messages, pictures, music, videos, call logs and notes as well as various settings.
Furthermore, it is possible to transfer alarms, documents, app data and wallpaper. Please, note that you may only send internal game and program information between Samsung Galaxy devices.
