Switch Access is an application for Android that allows users to control their smartphone or tablet even if they do not have the ability to touch the screen. The utility uses the front camera and switches to interact with the device.
How to use
You can enter this application through the accessibility menu. it is located in the settings of the mobile device.
Next, you have to set up control methods. The application scans objects located on the screen until you select the one you need. Further, it is possible to select a control for this item.
These can be physical switches, such as volume buttons. You can also use USB or Bluetooth controls, for example, a keyboard. In addition, the application allows you to apply the front camera that reads facial gestures from your face:
- smile;
- eyebrow raising;
- mouth opening;
- looking up, down, to the right, or left.
After the switches are configured, you may interact with the objects on the screen of the mobile device. You can move between them in turn, in rows, and in columns.
Additional options
Moreover, it is possible to select groups of objects by highlighting them with different colors. After the desired element is selected on the screen, a menu appears with available options:
- copy;
- insert;
- choose;
- open;
- scroll and so on.
Additionally, there is a separate menu for general device management – changing the volume, switching to the main screen, viewing notifications, etc.
