WildlifeXing is an Android application that helps to identify the seasonal migration of wild animals. Users can share their observations with others. This will help reduce vehicle collisions with deer, elk and other wildlife.
Safety
The utility is a partnership project between several community organizations in southern Alberta, Saskatchewan and Montana. These include the National Wildlife Federation, Alberta Transportation Company, the Miistakis Institute and others. All of these communities are interested in animal and driver safety.
That is why this application was developed. Users can observe wildlife and share this information with others. The notes will help to understand the approximate location of the animals and to be more cautious when driving in these areas.
Saphe Link can also be useful for driver safety. It provides information on speed limits, road cameras and various incidents.
Registration is required to access the WildlifeXing features. Then you can make simple notes. The tool allows you to select a specific animal you have seen, its number and location. There is a box to enter additional details.
