3DR Solo is an Android application for controlling drones of the same name. Users can access flight settings, view maps and take screenshots.
Functionality
The utility is developed by a well-known American software company for working with drones. Users can connect their mobile devices to these flying robots and access their control system. It is possible to configure flight settings, view satellite maps and take screenshots.
The app allows you to use drones when traveling by the sea, in mountains and other exciting places. While you are on vacation or just decide to go somewhere on a bicycle, you can take your drone and see the map to find the easiest routes. Moreover, it is possible to check weather information and learn current climate conditions.
There is an option to capture pictures of you traveling somewhere. You can make the drone move around your position and take screenshots. However, please note that using flying robots is allowed only in certain areas. If your aerial vehicle flies in restricted zones, this may cause legal problems.
Current state
Testing showed that the app was shut down by the company. There have not been updates for a long time and 3DR Solo is only compatible with older Android versions. When you launch the utility on a modern smartphone, it automatically crashes.
