Buienradar is an Android application that provides the citizens of the Netherlands with accurate and detailed information about the current and upcoming weather.
Forecast
To use this service correctly, you have to specify the location manually or use GPS navigation, similar to MeteoSwiss. On the main page of the app, there is a radar map with a precipitation forecast. It is possible to view information for the next 3, 24, or 48 hours.
Please note that the map can be scaled. In addition, there are graphs of precipitation where their probability and amount are indicated.
You can view the general weather forecast – hourly, for the next day, and for the next two weeks. Here is information about wind speed and direction, as well as temperature, rainfall, humidity, pressure, etc.
Map and alerts
It is possible to choose your favorite locations around the world and view hourly forecasts for them. You can choose to display on the map not only cloud cover and precipitation, but also temperature, wind, ultraviolet radiation, pollen, and so on.
This service provides additional information about the frost, gusts of wind, visibility on the roads, sunrise and sunset time. The application sends notifications about a sharp change in weather conditions. It is possible to create your own personal alerts that will be adapted to your schedule and favorite places. Moreover, there is a widget that displays the current temperature and precipitation.
