Excelsior Pass is an Android application created specifically for New York residents. You can add and store your digital documents or passes, as with CovPass.
Digital passes
This is an official mobile app designed for residents of New York. It allows you to store State-issued digital passes, such as Excelsior Pass Plus as well as other licenses and docs. The former is a digital copy of the COVID-19 vaccination record. By storing passes digitally on your smartphone, you can easily present them when needed.
One of the key features of the utility is its expansion to include additional State passes beyond the initial implementation of the Excelsior Pass Plus. You can, for example, add and store NY State Parks Empire Pass.
Participating New York State agencies are responsible for issuing specific passes, such as the Excelsior Pass Plus and NY State Parks Empire Pass. You can retrieve these passes directly from the respective agencies via the application.
Important note
It is important to note that as of July 28, 2023, the app and the Excelsior Pass Plus in particular will no longer be available. This is justified by the fact that the COVID-19 pandemic is already over and the demand for vaccination documents has fallen off greatly. However, it is still fully functional at the moment.
